Cureshank Community News: September 2026

In order to achieve Phelan-McDermid syndrome therapies that are meaningful and effective, the patient and caregiver perspective must be a central part of the development process. As an organization founded and bolstered by parents and families affected by Phelan-McDermid syndrome, CureSHANK ensures our community's voice is integral to every stage of PMS research and development.

This month, we’re proud to highlight some of the work we’re doing to drive the science forward and the opportunities for PMS families to add their voices to the conversation. From our LA Marathon fundraising efforts to advances in biomarker research for clinical trials, the PMS community's voice is behind every step forward.

As always, get the full story here.
